Working In Town ~ Chapter 5
On Wednesday's Prairie Post, the first installment of the interview with a relative of Laura Ingalls Wilder, Laura Ingalls Gunn of Decor to Adore, was featured. Stay tuned for part two to be featured on this coming Wednesday, you will be inspired and blessed.
This week we will be sharing button collections, button identification and care, as well as button stories. Did you have a favorite dress with special buttons? Did you play in your grandmothers button box? There are many descriptions of the buttons used on clothing in the Little House books, from the plain and serviceable ones for the work shirts Laura made button holes for, the bright and beautiful like the ones that looked like berries on Ma's dress that she wore to the sugaring off party, to the fabric covered ones for Laura's best brown dress. Tell us about your button tales! If you are new to the blog-a-thon, full details can be found here. Feel free to cut and paste the above blog-a-thon button to your post. Anyone is welcome to join in by using Mr Linky and linking to your specific button post by following these simple instructions:

Oh Sandy. What a beautiful post!!! I know I'm not participating but just had to say hello and tell you how much I love buttons as well. They are little trinkets from the past speaking volumes to me. I loved the sweet story of the sad woman and how just a little kindness brightened her day!! Thank you always for your wonderful posts ~ xxoo, Dawn
