I painted mine solid colors and then glittered over them by brushing on some matte gel medium and using Martha Stewart Crystal Fine Glitter. You could paint little designs on your eggs like polka dots or stripes if you wanted a fancy Easter egg. Now, I need to get back to another yummy handful of leftovers...
And I promise you the next post will have nothing to do with eggs! Have a happy Monday!
Blessings,
Miss Sandy
I'm an egg person and a use what you have person so you hit a home run with me - these are all adorable! Jennifer
ReplyDeleteOK, so I spent the last of the afternoon on Friday trying to get someone in my office to actually eat the pistachios so I could have the shells.no luck..had to bite the Weight Watcher's bullet and eat them myself. however, I ended up with 72 shells that I painted this week-end! Hubby thought I was crazy - but he liked the finished product. He told me the next time I want to do any, he'd gladly eat them for me :-)Thanks for the great tutorial and I'll try to get some pics posted top show you how your "Student" did :-)
ReplyDeleteI love your Easter bunny tags. I was so tempted at Costco last week to buy a huge page of pisatchios....! I may have to go back. LOL
ReplyDeleteI love that you sewed the paper bag to make eggs! And the Easter tags are just adorable!

How clever again! Just great what you did with your work surface protection, it was the right color already. I love your bright palette too! Just as much fun as your natural. You keep surprising me every day!

ReplyDeleteI already have my nuts - Need hub to eat them --
I love the speckled one and the Brights --

Very pretty! I'm amazed at how you've made something out of virtually "nothing". Good work!!
ReplyDeleteLovin' your blog, this is my first visit!
Dear Miss Sandy:
ReplyDeleteI'm in my late 40's and I don't like food leftovers. My mother and my husband said that I'm spoiled. The only leftovers that I don't throw away is the craft leftovers or like my husband say "craps". Thank you for the wonderful inspirations you have brought to my life.
best regards,
Wanda C.
Your blog is so inspirational. I never leave here without getting some great ideas. It is always so much fun to stop by and catch up with you.
ReplyDeleteThey're fabulous, Sandy!!!! Love the grunge on them!
ReplyDeleteNow...maybe the next eggs you create should be in the form of quiche!
Diane
PS: ALMOST finished with our trade! No rush! If I finish it before the month I'll send it but don't feel you need to hurry!
