BREAKING THE SILENCE...

I have been thinking for weeks that I needed to break the silence by popping in to catch up on what you have all been up to and fill you in on what has been transpiring here at the Quill.  Days and weeks slipped past so quickly.  Seasons changed and still I kept the silence.  In the tiniest recess of my mind I questioned if I would ever really return or not.
In the few scant weeks I have been away I have lived triumphant joy, been touched by tragedy, met with an accident that led to an injury, suffered a bout of illness, went on a traveling adventure or two, with generous dollops of happy and contented moments filling in between each.
I felt no compulsion to snap a photo or blog in my head or scramble for the next idea to post on.  Not only were my blog, camera, and keyboard silent, so was my soul.  I finally feel rested, refreshed, and ready to come back and share.
In all that silence I have not forgotten you dear blog friends.  In fact I have been working on a free tutorial that I will have up later this week for a little quick fall decoration that I hope you all will enjoy.

I just wanted to pop in and wish you all a Happy Day!

  1. It is wonderful to "hear" from you. Maybe at some point you will feel like sharing more details from your time away...if not, knowing you are there is good.

  4. Dear Sandy,
It is so good to hear from you! Sounds like life hasn't been passing you by. I hope you are doing better and praying for you, my friend.
I sent you a little something in the mail on Friday, just to let you know that I'm thinking of you. Praying that it gets there unharmed! :)

  6. Hello my dear girl. So glad to find you here in your Blogdom home. You cannot imagine how you were missed. Take your time. Sometimes the return is like taking the first swim of the season and getting your feet wet feels cold. So, on that chilly note, let me offer you a proper cup of tea and let us chat. And chat. And chat some more.

  7. We all need times of retreat and restoration. I hope this time, tumultuous as it has been, will accomplish that for you.

  15. Hi Sandy!
We certainly have missed you however I know the struggle regarding to blog or not to blog. We are at that stage that makes us realize how precious life is. I'm not posting as much and I feel better about it.
You know I REALLY love your creations and want to see your work. Just let us know if you decide to ever stop so we know you are okay, just tired of the blog thing.

    Big hugs, sherry
