Serendipity Sunday: You Are Not Alone.....

Serendipity: Making a delightful or unexpected discovery

"...He will quite you with His love..."
~Zephaniah 3:17~

This week there has been a great need for comfort here at the Quill. Situations have cropped up that have stirred up emotions. Fear and worry have tried to take up residence. Disquiet of the soul has taken place. The Lord often chooses many ways to minister to us in these tough times. This weeks delightful discovery was a highlighted verse in my Bible:

"The Lord your God is with you, He is mighty to save. He will take great delight in you, He will quite you with His love, He will rejoice over you with singing."

~Zephaniah 3:17~

All week long, every single time my soul became disquieted I heard the same phrase of a song being sung, "You are not alone, You belong to Me..." For the life of me I have not been able to figure out where I have heard this phrase or the voice of my mind that sings it. After reading the above verse I felt very overcome with emotion that perhaps it was simply the Lord reassuring me and rejoicing over me with singing, quieting me with His love, letting me know that I am His. The things of this world may touch me but they will not overtake me because I belong to Him and He has overcome the world.

I pray that no matter what might touch your life that you will know without a shadow of a doubt that you are not alone, He is with you. He is mighty to save. He takes great delight in you. He can and will quiet you with His love. Listen for His song for He will rejoice over you with singing too.

Blessings,
Miss Sandy

This is a great reminder of God's love for us Sandy. I hope that things have settled down for you at home. Life can really be tough but thankfully God never gives us anything we can't handle.

Beautiful verse, isn't it? I'm so glad that the Lord brought it to mind for you in a time when you needed it. One thing that has helped me of late is knowing that He is always working to bring things around for my own good. Hope that you might also find comfort in Judy's Sunday post at My Front Porch. I did.

It seems that so many are experiencing difficult situations. Last night while searching for another songwriter, I found a song I had never heard and posted it. It seems to have comforted many; I believe the Lord meant for me to share those particular words for so many of us to be reminded of his constant presence. God bless you.

Very beautiful post! Thank you!

Incidentally, I almost couldn't figure out how to post a comment on your blog. The "Post a Comment" link is in a color that doesn't stand out on the background, making it very hard to read or even see.

What comforting words for today. Any family has things come up, almost daily. My dear grand daughter is very needy right now and I know God is working in her life. Thanks for reminding me. Blessings

I am sorry for whatever is going on, but so thankful that God is ministering to you through His Word.

One of my favorite verses similar to that one that comes to me again and again is Isaiah 41:10:

Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.

Sandy, thank you for that wonderful verse. Another one that comes to mind when I read that is Psalm 46:10 "Be still and know that I am God". I find that very comforting, knowing He is in control but I am still learning to stop worrying and really feel in my spirit that He is in control. I wish you more calmer days ahead. You are so right to remind us that we indeed are not alone.

When the darkness has passed the light will be all the brighter.

Beautiful, Sandy... I love the verse in Zephaniah. It has been a long time favorite. And, I too have to remind myself sometimes - but find such wonderful comfort in knowing who I belong to!!

Great verse, Miss Sandy. One of my favorites. Isn't is wonderful that we CAN call on the Lord and KNOW that He is in control of our lives, and He knows what you need before you ask. Lean upon Him and know that He rejoices in you and your faith in Him. Blessings - Vickie

There is a little quote that has helped me in the past "Do not fear tomorrow...God is already there."
May God keep you close during your difficult time.
