TO BE CONTINUED...

Have you ever been in the middle of a really good movie with a storyline that has built up to a pivotal moment and then suddenly the screen is cast into darkness and words are stamped across the screen...To Be Continued? Just when you have gotten to the good part and you are enjoying watching the unfolding story you are left wondering what is going to happen next, uncertain of the outcome, a happy ending or a sad parting?
My life story was heading towards a happy ending of the current unfolding wedding plans of my daughter but like any good movie a little drama had to be cast into the plot, plans can never unfold so smoothly nor the end of a story be reached without some conflict. I am sad to say that my mother has taken a turn for the worse and her condition is getting increasingly more and more difficult to manage. Crucial decisions are going to need to be made that are heart breaking and difficult.
Our plot line is running along the lines of bittersweet, not being fully able to embrace the joy of the upcoming event due to the tension of the situation and the conflict of emotions. Only the Script Writer knows the outcome. We are but actors on the stage of life strutting and fretting our hour upon the stage stumbling over our lines in a less stellar performance. We are bumbling through each act as best as we can. The director is yelling " CUT!" the camera is panning away in a drawn out fade leaving the audience dangling...To Be Continued...

P.S. I will be taking a blog break this week to split my time between the hospital and wedding planning. Please forgive my inability to respond to comments or emails during this time period. I will return as soon as I am able. I hope that each and everyone of you have a wonderful week full of joy and spilling over with blessings!

Dear Sandy, How well I understand. My mother is very fragile and getting more so. We are also on the edge of having to make that type of decision. I will be holding you and your mother in my thoughts.

Dear Sandy,
I`m so sorry for you, your mom-daughter and everyone in your family.
Our mothers being ill, and fragile, is alwayes a very sad situation,-and now where you all are (wants to be) happy, and joyfully, awaiting the wedding-it must be such a difficult situation-to deal with both happiness, and sorrow.
Dearest, I embrace you from here-far away, but you are in my thoughts- and prayers.
Love ,Dorthe

Awww, Miss Sandy, so sorry to hear about your mom. It's so hard to be happy and sad at the same time. Lifting you and your family up to Him, the God of all Comfort. May your daughter and your family find happiness in the new family that she and her husband are forming

We truly are only actors in the big play of life. Sooooooooo beautifuly said sweet Sandy. I am so sorry about your Momma. It is difficult to deal with those sort of problems. I spent 5 hours in ER with my father in law getting stitches in his head after a fall. At 88 his body is still going with no problems. But, his mind is LONG GONE! No fun my friend. Just know we're there for you & sending you big HUGS! TAKE CARE OF YOU!

Sometimes in life, moments arise where we have to e alone in our hearts... We must hold it together form breaking apart, because even our dearest ones cannot help us lift the regrets.

Sadness feeds on hope and faith, and when one lacks, it leans on the other to wait for the latter to get back up again...

Sandy, I wish you to have enough of both, to an extent that you might be able to get through what is given as our lot, but also, to be able to have happiness in your daughters special day.

I know that you will manage to connect both times, and make the best out of them, and make them beautiful, each in its own way, by putting your heart into it.

keeping my fingers crossed,

I just found your blog, through a friend, Kathryn Ross's blog. It's so lovely and instills peace, your writing touches me, especially about your mother. I wish I could help you. That's exactly what I do, help people in these difficult transitions, with the home and all the overwhelming work that needs to be done. Both of our folks are now in the nursing home, and we are beginning to clear out the house and the whole estate will go to the care of the old folks, who bearly know us now. We are honoring them this month, on their 65th wedding anniversary. It's sad, but sweet to see them together in the dining hall. Sometimes holding hands, which is funny, as they never showed any signs of affection and had a lackluster marriage. But at the end now, they seem to have found some contentment, just being together.
Your photography is marvelous! I'm a new blogger, just learning , and you are an inspiration!
Thank you for the beauty and peace you share with your readers, and followers!
Blessings!
