Memorial Day Rememberance.....

"For love of country they accepted death."
~James A. Garfield~"I have never been able to think of the day as one of mourning; I have never quite been able to feel that half-masted flags were appropriate on Decoration Day. I have rather felt that the flag should be at the peak, because those whose dying we commemorate rejoiced in seeing it where their valor placed it. We honor them in joyous, thankful, triumphant commemoration of what they did."
~Benjamin Harrison~

Thank you to all those who have served and are serving our country.

Blessings,
Miss Sandy

And I feel that same way...it should not only be sad and somber...but a day to remember and celebrate those who served and those who gave all. Thank you for shedding some different light on this day. Actually, every blog I visit sheds some unique light on this Memorial Day. Enjoy yours, Miss Sandy!
