Relinquishing My Crown - With a Little Help From My Friend...

(Crown Princess Martha of Norway - Isn't she beautiful?)

In a recent post I declared myself as the winner of the princess of unfinished projects. I am happy to report that I must now step down from my title. Yes indeed, it was fun being princess for a day, but alas, I must give up my wicked ways now that I have exactly one of those unfinished projects left and it too will be complete by days end. I can only claim this victory with the help of a very sweet blog friend, Diane.

We sent a jest back and forth of swapping unfinished projects and somewhere in there it became a real swap! How fun is that? She is sending me a project that she started and I am sending her one that I have started, we will complete it in any way we wish and then send it back for keeps. I gave Diane the choice of two projects that I have on the worktable and she said to surprise her. She might get these...
Or this...
I am excitedly curious as to how she will interpret and execute this challenge.

Part of giving up my crown means that I actually finished some of the projects myself. Here are the set of bright bird house tags all complete...
Here is my big letter "B" all collaged out in paper scraps with a little tongue and cheek added for humor and interest...For now, this "B" will serve as a family crest of sorts with Handy Hubby playing to role of the Prince of Plumy...And I will be his beloved pointy headed princess...
We will send sweet missives of love to one another on the wings of the royal bullfinch...
And, we will live happily ever after in this castle, er monument, in the clouds...
Now, I must bid you farewell if I want to completely rid myself of this crown by days end.
Have a wonderful day my friends!

Blessings,
Miss Sandy

What an inspired idea you and Dianne had! I think it'll be great fun for both of you and could become the next fun swap of all time! Your tags are darling, of course. And the initial B for your BELOVED is a treasure, you pointy-headed princess, you!

(My word verification today? derobled...ha!)

You girls are just over the top in the creativity department. What a clever idea to swap projects. It's always easier to clean someone else's house so I imagine the same holds true of finishing someone else's crafty projects. Cute "B"!

So glad you'll be a commoner again by day's end.

Hello Miss Sandy! Please forgive me for the delay in posting my half of the swap today! It was "date day" for Hubby and me and then...you'll have to read my blog to see what happened when we got home and the SUN was SHINING in my house! It wasn't a pretty picture! =:-O

Posting a picture now!!! Come see it!

Hugs!
Diane

That B is just gorgeous! And what a great idea to do swaps on unfinished projects!

ps. I do think that you should send your Take along tag to Somerset Life, I really do. I know you are too modest, but this really is more than their cup of tea if you would ask me.

Have a lovely and creative weekend!
