THE WAIT OF THINGS...

 Small occupations...
 Small movements...
 Small dalliances...
Are to be mine...
As I mark time...
On the wait of things to come...
Deadline looming large...
And looking like it will be missed...
Due to the illness of a spiders kiss...
 I am making...
Small milestones...
 On the road to recovery...
Thank you for all the notes of concern, prayers, well wishes, and good thoughts sent my way.  I have had to remain rather quite in order to try and prevent the further spread of the venom.  Modern medicine, tried and true home remedies (thanks so much Thespa!!!), and lots of stillness are helping with recovery.  I never knew you could get so sick from something so very small.  While I am still experiencing many of the initial symptoms the great news is that up to this point there is not one little sign of nicrossis, worst case avoided!  I am told full recovery could take a few more weeks due to the extreme reaction I had and the three levels of venom spread to the skin, muscle, and nerves of my arm.

Small beads, small wire, small snippets of paper and lace, small strides in creativity and recovery, a little bummed but incredibly blessed...to be continued due to the wait of things to come...

These creations are delicate and lovely...God is not surprised by that dang spider's kiss. Do not be upset if you miss some deadline. Some things are not meant to be simply because of timing. I am completely shocked that you are still recovering from this, however. Silly me. I thought you had four days to endure and then it would be over...poof. Right. Like how often is that ever the case? Sending you prayers for a speedier recovery than weeks out.

I absolutely love your bead creations! They are fabulously designed and the colours are stunning. I was wondering if you were ok, glad that you are! Thankfully we dont have any poisonous spiders around here, and thus I have to say I really like the little buggers, but I see your point. That could be scary!! Hope everything will be back to norm soon! :)

hugs,

I had no idea you had such a violent reaction to the spider bites. You poor thing, you must have been in such pain and so worried. I am glad to hear that you are on the road to recovery though, and that you are creating again. Those beautiful beaded sprays of flowers are just exquisite. Just take it real easy.

Dear Sandy,
just reading about the bite you got, and the big reaction your arm had to it, makes me so sorry for you, what an awful experience- I hope for you, that there will be no symptoms left very soon, and that you feel well again.
Your embroidered pieces are so very beautiful. your flowers the most lovely examples.
Be well soon, and take care .
HUGS,Dorthe

I love your beaded flowers and creations. Sorry to hear it was a real spider that got you. Uck! Those spiders do like to try to come in my house at this time of year. I killed one just the other day. Looks like I need to fumigate.

oh no! I was out of town last week and missed the post about you being bitten - I hope you are on the mend now - but it sounds as if it was dreadful...so glad you were able to keep your humor through it...I don't think I could have!
Speedy Recovery...and your beading is lovely!

Such a small bite to cause so much havoc. Staying still creating your intricate items is a good medicine, too. Hoping and praying for continued healing.

I hope you are feeling better. A week ago my daughter (also named Sandy) was bitten by a brown recluse as she slept. It got her on the inside of her upper thigh. With heavy doses of meds, she is doing well, or as well as one can. Makes it hard to wear jeans, as any touch on the area is painful. But it could have been much worse. Sending you gentle hugs.

Your creations are so lovely! I admire your patience to do them as I took a class once and either it's me or the teacher, but I couldn't get it! And now I know how much work is involved!
And Sandy, I had no idea that you had such a horrible experience with a spider bite! Thank heavens you are healing well and taking care not to let this spread. Sending you hugs and a wish for a speedy recovery!!
