Autumn Days...
"And the yellow sunflower by the brook, in autumn beauty stood."
~Bryant - The Death of Flowers~ Tuesday afternoon I spent some time sitting quietly at the edge of the east woods on our property enjoying the cooler air and the afternoon sun. I watched a bumblebee ballet as the winged dancers flitted from petaled stage to petaled stage. It brought to mind a favorite poem by Will Carelton, Autumn Days. Yellow, mellow, ripened days,Sheltered in a golden coating;O'er the dreamy, listless haze,White and dainty cloudlets floating;Winking at the blushing trees,And the sombre, furrowed fallow;Smiling at the airy ease,Of the southward flying swallow.Sweet and smiling are thy ways,Beauteous, golden, Autumn days.
~Will Carelton~
Blessings,
Miss Sandy

Beautiful !! :)
The days of Autumn have arrived early, though there may still be a bit of an Indian summer. I would love to be a bee flitting amongst those beautiful flowers.
Hugs!
