Artistic Autumn Beauty.....

"Delicious autumn! My very soul is webbed to it, and if I were a bird I would fly about the earth seeking the successive autumns."
~George Eilot~
We have returned to our humble abode and have been meeting ourselves coming and going since we walked in the door. We got Darling Daughter mostly moved amid loads of laundry and trying to complete my project for the Artist Class . I am so excited to show you a sneak peek of my project, an autumnal banner:Having just spent a week in the Great Smoky Mountains, there was inspiration abounding in all that natural beauty. I wanted to capture the essence of autumn in a paper arts project. It felt so good to spend the day in the studio creating something. The down side of that is that tomorrow I have to spend time cleaning up after the tornado of a mess I made in there today.Registration for the class is now open. You can visit HERE for registration information. The class fee is $59.00 BUT if you use my promotional code: quillcottage, you will receive a $10.00 discount bringing the price to $49.00. The class is a four week online class featuring 12 step-by-step projects in a variety of media. Each project is specifically designed and taught by various artists such as Dawn Edmonson of The Feathered Nest, Karla Nathan of Karla's Cottage, Beth Leintz of Gathering Dust, to name just a few. I feel extremely honored to be in the midst of these ladies plus others that I so admire. For more class content information, you can visit this post.We had a wonderful anniversary week full of fun and adventure. I'll be sharing some of the highlights in the next few posts and hope you too will enjoy the autumn beauty as I savor the sweet memories. I am beyond thrilled to be back in civilization where cell signals and Internet service abound. I never thought I would say that! I'll be around to visit and to catch up on comments and emails in the next couple of days. I really missed you all!!!I hope you all are enjoying the artistic autumnal beauty being painted outside your windows!

Blessings,
Miss Sandy

I am very much enjoying this autumn and you are so right about the inspiration derived from just observing the glory of Autumn around us. Plus, the beautiful but chilly days make it O.K. to work on projects inside without feeling guilty about neglecting outdoor yard work.

This is one of my favorite times of year... BUT it's been raining way too much here lately.

Thanks for the beautiful photos!

Looking forward to seeing all your photos of your trip. We've not had much fall yet down here in Texas. Just misty foggy stuff and not much color yet. I love fall!

I can't wait to see what you do with your autumn banner! Your paper art is always so beautiful!

Love that autumnal quote! You can't get much more inspiring than the Smokies in autumn.

That autumn banner you made is really sweet. I love all seasons to be honest and fall is no exception. I love to see the colors and shapes of the trees changing every day, though I am in the center of the city. I cannot wait to make a walk through the woods, maybe next weekend, wishing you a lovely day!
