Welcome to Quill Cottage

Sandy Babb

I am a sassy southern self-taught mixed media artist who usually has a pocket full of pebbles to keep me grounded since my head is generally in the clouds. I am a wanderer of woodlands and waterways far and wide clicking pics and gathering bits of nature to use in my art. I am an idea chaser and a dreamer, an art maker and wordsmith who is a teller of stories woven together with scissor, paint, fibers, and glue.

I consider this blog my online journal where my individual creativity and imagination are expressed in visual form of mixed media art (primarily but not limited to collage, fiber & textile arts, book arts, and jewelry) and the written word. Here you will find art with a story. My aim is to document my process as well as inspire, educate, and encourage others on their own artful journey.
