Blooming Friendships...

"Friends are the most important ingredient in this recipe of life."
~Dior Yamasaki~

Today I want to introduce you to two of my new blog friends, Tina and Myrnie. I have been enjoying getting to know them and think you will too.

I was recently tagged by Tina of Tiny Bear. If you have never visited a Danish bear makers studio, then you are in for a treat! WARNING: You will fall in love! Tina makes the most adorable tiny bears I have ever seen. How can you not love Sweet Lily? Isn't she precious?

The tag is to write six random things about myself, so here goes...

1.) I have a scar on my chin in the same place as my dad has one, both from separate auto accidents.

2.) My first memory of picking up a paint brush is when I was four years old. I was in per-school, my teacher was Miss Polly. I remember the painting smock I wore, standing at the easel with pots of tempera paint in vivid hues of red, yellow, blue, and green (we were learning about primary colors) sitting in the paint tray. I had a bucket of water and a big wooden long handled brush. I painted my version of a car, a person, a cherry tree and a sunshine. My mother still has the picture. I think this was when I fell in love with art.

3.) I have never ever eaten alone in a restaurant, not even a fast food place.

4.) I have a deep need for solitude. While others in my family prefer "white noise" of a TV or radio in the back ground, I like it quite. I think better and ideas flow more freely in the silence. Perhaps this comes from being an only child. Quietness is in my nature.

5.) I have an obsession with sunsets! No two are ever the same and once one is gone it will never come again. Last evening there was a spectacular one here. Handy Hubby and I were on the way to the store and I made him stop in the middle of the road up on the ridge so I could watch it. I so wish I would have had my camera but a trip to the Target did not seem that one would be needed.

6.) I often attract very strange people and often have "adventures" as my family calls them when I am out an about. It makes for very entertaining dinner conversation.

Now, if you have been coming here for very long then you know I never play nice at these games. I will answer the questions but I don't tag anyone else. If you want to be tagged, then you are it!

I recently won a give away over at I Wonder Woman where Myrnie sent me the most beautiful hand stitched monogrammed hanky!
Please do go over and visit, she is having a wonderful tutorial on making a simple drop earrings. The earrings are darling! (photo property of Myrnie @ I Wonder Woman) Thank you so much, Myrnie, for the beautiful gift. I truly do cherish it!

Today my two best friends are coming over for a little girlfriend time and I am so excited. We have all been so busy lately that the phone or emails have been our mode of communication. I can't wait to share some face to face time where there is sure to be side splitting laughter, a few tears over life's sorrows, prayers to lift each other up, and new friendship memories to add to our ever blooming bouquet. I hope your day holds something special and that you have someone to share it with.

Blessings,
Miss Sandy

Enjoy a blessed day with your friends. I know that there will a lot of laughter!

Thank you for the introduction to new (to me) bloggers.

Oh, I've never eaten in a restaurant alone either. I admire those who can and do, though. I think that they have an excellent sense of self.

Beautiful pictures, and I'm so glad you enjoy your hankerchief- I loved making it :)

A dear friend taught my sister and I how to make teddy bears when we were teenagers- I think I'll enjoy popping over to your friend's space and seeing her work!

That bear is so cute - it has such personality! I love monogrammed anything and to have something handstitched like that is such a treasure!

Cute bear! I like solitude too. My husband walks into the house and immediately turns on the tv for background noise! I grew up with 4 sisters and it was always so noisey at home - lol.

Thanks for sharing the random facts with us. I love to know more about you. I totally agree on silence, but I'm not an only child. I think too that it is something in your character. When I first rented a room as a student my neighbour often wondered whether I was dead. That's how I love silence! And I often attrack strange people and have adventures too. Perhaps we have so much going on that we long for silence!
Have a nice day!

I come like to be alone but have to have noise...being one of 10 kids I guess I don't know how to act with no noise.
I too have strange adventures!!
I don't even have to go far...last year I walked out my front door and a guy was just walking up the street as naked as can be talking on his cell phone! Still don't know where he came from.

After a long day at work and alarms constantly sounding I love to come home to quiet. But then I just love coming home. It doesn't stay quiet long after the two girls come home. I suppose someday I will miss that. Love your blog! Vicki Page
