This post marks my 250th post and as promised last week I am revealing the finished "Winter" collage and I am having a give away. To spread a little winter cheer I am giving away this 6" x 8" collage. I do apologize for the poor photo quality. I tired without a flash and they were too dull and dark, with a flash they are a little washed out. It has been quite cloudy here and natural lighting has been hard to come by. (click on any photo to enlarge for better viewing)
The base of the piece is a 6" x 8" canvas board covered in a soft cream fabric with a pink grid stitched pattern on it. Layered atop are pieces of French blue embroidered silk, creamy polished cotton, pink and white checked silk, topped off with a mini card stock print of a vintage post card, all stitched in pink thread.
Embellishments include vintage crochet lace edging, pink velvet ribbon, faux fur, pink crepe paper ruffling, pink velvet flowers,
old buttons, frosty branches with glittery snowflakes,
organza ribbon, an icy crystal droplet,
and white "WINTER" lettering. 
The back of the collage is covered with pink handmade paper. A tab of velvet pink ribbon threaded through an old plastic belt buckle hides the silver picture holder that the piece hangs from.
