A Winner and Two Paper Birds In a Bare Tree...

"Remember
This December,
That love weighs more than gold!"
~Josephine Dodge Daskam Bacon~

Thank you to all of you sweet blog friends who entered my Holiday Give Away. If you need holiday cheer, a reason to be thankful, or to be up lifted by the sharing of the good things in life, go over and read the comments for the sign up post.

There were so many wonderful reasons to celebrate, being cancer free, earning a degree, healed family relationships, reuniting with family for the holidays, finding work, good test results, and the list goes on. It just takes one glimpse into the lives of others to make us truly grateful for what we have.

Thank You from the bottom of my heart for sharing these wonderful praises with me. You will never know how they helped me through a rough week. God bless you one and all!

Now, for the Holiday Give Away winner...MISS RHEA (Miss Rhea's Sweet N Shabby Roses) CONGRATULATIONS! Rhea, please email me your choice item from my shoppe and your mailing address. Thank you to all who participated.

I truly don't know why but every time I think I am going to decorate my tree something happens and I don't get to. I am about to give up! This is what I have been humming to the tune of The 12 Days of Christmas:

On the first day of trying to decorate my tree...my wrist gave out on me. And two paper birds in a bare tree...
On the second day of trying to decorate my tree...very bad news was delivered to me. And two paper birds in a bare tree...

On the third day of trying to decorate my tree...my shoppe kept me very busy. And two paper birds in a bare tree...
On the fourth day of trying to decorate my tree...Darling Daughter said, "Come shop with me." And two paper birds in a bare tree...

On the fifth day of trying to decorate my tree...Telephone rang, "Mom can you watch the babies?" And two paper birds in a bare tree...
On the sixth day of trying to decorate my tree...In pop unexpected company. And two paper birds in a bare tree...

On the seventh day of trying to decorate my tree...I had run out of energy. And two paper birds in a bare tree...
On the eighth day of trying to decorate my tree...We really needed groceries. And two paper birds in a bare tree...

On the ninth day of trying to decorate my tree...Ten thousand errands awaited me. And two paper birds in a bare tree...
On the eleventh day of trying to decorate my tree...A migraine plagued me. And two paper birds in a bare tree...

On the twelfth day of trying to decorate my tree...I hope I can do it successfully.
And two paper birds in a bare tree!
Wish me luck, I am almost out of days. These are the birds I gave you a peek of in my last post. I really enjoyed making them and think they will be perfect for my holiday decor. One will top my little tree and the other will be part of the centerpiece for the dining table.

I sincerely hope your holiday plans are going much better than mine and that you all have a fantastic weekend!

Blessings,
Miss Sandy

You are so funny! Even if you end up with two paper birds in a bare tree on Christmas day, you can rest in the assurance that you attended to the more important aspects of the season. I have a feeling that Mary, mother of Jesus, probably felt much like you do. Her plans didn't exactly come off without a hitch either!

Congratulations to Miss Rhea. I too have been feeling very thankful lately. Thanksgiving and now Christmas make me more and more aware of my blessings. The more blogs I read, the more aware of blessing I become, too. I think we all are a blessed bunch!

No, Really ???? :) :) :) :) !!!!!

THANK YOU !!!! :) I will email you with my address. :) Here is what I pick, Please pray over all of your sweet wonderful creations, and let Our Lord choose :) I know I will be Blessed by anything that comes from your hands :) They are ALL beautiful and will have a place of Honor in our home :) Please don't stress it, I truly will love ANYTHING :)

I think you should take the two birds OFF the tree and lay them under it, with a nest. And just enjoy the tree with the lights :) Maybe throw some raffia on the branches. Then you can just cross that stress off of your list :)

Thank you SO much !! I have you in my prayers and pray that this sifting and pruning Season passes quickly for you.

Hugs :) :)xoxo

Sandy, I wish you and your family a very blessed Christmas. I know two very bright stars will be your grandson and new granddaughter! They won't care about the decorations so much as the love they feel from YOU! Enjoy.

Ahhh, but what lovely birds they are! No, Christmas will, of course, come whether I am ready, but I'm not. Not one bit.

Everything looks so wonderful here as always...I'm eager to get back soon.

Those birds are spectacular, if that is all you got onto the tree, its still a lot prettier than a lot of trees out there, with those special ornaments on it!
